Your Inpatient Stay

As an acute-general hospital, MCN is equipped to treat a variety of medical cases and diseases within our medical specialties. These include pneumonia, severe stomach pain, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, congestive heart failure, diverticulitis, hydration, general patient observation, intensive care monitoring, blood transfusions, pain management, and a host of other medical conditions.

Patients are admitted to MCN through their family physician or specialist. If your physician is not on staff at MCN, you can go directly to Newark Valley Urgent Care, located at 1906 Tamarack Road, to be assessed. If they feel you need to be admitted to the hospital, they will make arrangements for you.

If you are directly admitted to MCN as an inpatient, once you get settled in your room, you will find detailed information about your inpatient stay in our Inpatient Guide located in every room.
