Community
MCN believes in giving back to the community. In crafting our mission statement for the organization, our employees, physicians, and board of directors all believed it was important for community involvement to be a part of the mission of MCN.
In 2007, we made a $10,000 donation to support The Community Health Clinic. The Clinic provides basic medical care to low-income families and uninsured citizens of Licking County. Under the guidance of Dr. Patrick Scarpitti, the all volunteer medical staff works in partnership with the community to meet healthcare needs. The donation from MCN was one of their largest donations and funds were used to purchase medical supplies and vaccines. The Community Health Clinic is located at 743 East Main Street, Newark, Ohio. During the year, the MCN staff participated in campaigns with the following organizations:
- Red Cross blood drive
- United Way
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Heath fireworks event
